Envy is a Terrible Thing...

Say hello to the best brandy in the world!
The Laborie Alambic was voted Best Brandy in The World at the 2010 International Wine and Spirits Challenge in London and awarded a Gold medal at the 2010 Veritas Awards.

All three of our Shiraz wines were amongst the top ten in the recent Paarl Shiraz Challenge with the Jean Taillefert taking top honours.

But don't take our word for it, come and experience it for yourselves at the cellar door or at the Laborie restaurant.

One for the Records...

2010 has been a rewarding year and Laborie has grown and changed in many ways.

Firstly we added another year to our 1691 starting line, which brings us to 319 years and going strong. Furthermore we follow in the steps of those who have gone before us building on our dream as we go along.

We can't wait for the grapes from the new vineyards of Chardonnay, Pinot noir and Pinot Meunier for the future vintages of Laborie Cap Classique.

2010 has also taught us that we have to be a good neighbour and responsible custodian of this piece of land in the heart of Paarl, ensuring that we leave it in a better state than what we received it in.

Laborie is a member of the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative (BWI) and the farm is also in the process of returning previous vineyard land to natural fynbos.


	In 6 weeks we will start with the harvesting of Chardonnay grapes for the Laborie Cap Classique. Please set your alarm!

What's New?

Apart from the seasonal changes on the farm the area in front of our restaurant underwent a metamorphosis during the third week of November. Where once there was only paved parking you will now find a lovely green lawn area.
